MS Walk 2010

Walked the MS Walk 2010 today.  It was a much different experience from the last time I walked (April 1998,  the month after diagnosis).  This time it was much more inspiring, more than likely it was because the last time I was seeing all the people in wheelchairs as my future. Someone told me I would be in a wheelchair in 15 years and I believed them... live and learn.  It was also great to get out with friends and walk!! I thought briefly about running it as a training for my upcoming marathon but I realized very quickly that I WILL NOT LEAVE the people who joined my team solely to support ME.  They are walking FOR me. I wanted to share this experience WITH them.  It was 3.7 miles of laughter and some tears. (It was really closer to six miles when you figure in all the to and from the parking lot, stores and restrooms.)  I had planned on running a 5K when I got home, but the fun and sun have taken it out of me.
